The Genesis Expo is devoted to the development of entrepreneurial enterprises, historically providing an invaluable opportunity for these student-run startup businesses to increase their brand exposure and to market their businesses through interacting with prominent leaders and representatives from a number of companies and disciplines. It’s the ideal platform to stimulate business growth and motivate both current and aspiring entrepreneurs.
This year’s class comprises six businesses, consisting of 5-6 students currently studying at the University of Cape Town. These individuals come from diverse backgrounds, having studied a variety of undergraduate degrees, locally and abroad. Each of these Genesis students have been learning and earning simultaneously as they apply their leadership and management theory to the businesses they have created. For the first time since the course’s inception in 1993, this years expo will be held virtually on a dedicated online platform.
